AGM 2026

ACBL Unit 431’s Annual General Meeting will be held starting 12:00 noon, February 27, 2026, at Strawberry Vale Hall, 11 High Street, Victoria.

All Unit 431 members are invited to attend.

The meeting’s agenda is to review the past year, confirm current board members, and vote in new players taking positions.

There will be an individual bridge movement game after the meeting, followed by pizza.

Island Tournaments

You can find upcoming ACBL-sanctioned tournaments on Vancouver Island by clicking on this link.

The list includes the Victoria Regional, held every two years, and Island Sectionals (Units 431 and 429). Most Sectionals are open to all ACBL members, but some, like the Ace of Hearts and Ace of Spades are reserved for players with fewer than 500 master points.

DO post your convention card – it’s mandatory!
DO be ready to bid and play when it’s your turn.
DO make your bids and plays in an even tempo; avoid hesitations; be consistently deliberate in your bidding and play.
If you need to leave table momentarily, DO tell partner and opps by typing “brb” in chat window.
DO alert and announce all bids that require an action.
DO explain alert promptly and clearly when requested by opps.
DO not use chat window for game-related information (such as alerts).
DO call the director (via button) when an infraction occurs.
DO compliment partner (or opps!) on good play after the hand is finished.
DO observe the time allotted for the play of each round and be prepared to make a concerted effort to catch up if you have fallen behind, regardless of the reason for the lateness.
