An introduction to duplicate bridge for social bridge players.
Every week we offer a gentle, friendly game for social bridge players to learn the ins and outs of duplicate.
With volunteers on hand to help, we guide players through all the particularities of duplicate: bidding boxes, pre-dealt hands, alertable bids, scoring, and most of all the approach to competitive bridge where you’re playing against the room. It’s fun and encouraging.
And yes, talking is allowed! Just not about ur hand when you’re bidding 🙂
If you’re curious or interested, please text Maureen at 250-361-8324 or just turn up at Monterey Rec Centre, any Tuesday, alone or with a partner.
Register in the Dogwood Room with a bridge ticket purchased at the reception, from 11:30.
Play is from 12:15 to 3:30-ish. Sometimes there will be a brief bridge lesson before the game.
